Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity Jig.

We made it back from our marathon family-visiting, baby-head-smelling, driving-until-my-head-might-explode vacation this afternoon. We had a wonderful time with both my family and my husband's, and now after spending such an obscene amount of time on the road, I never ever ever want to go anywhere in the car again. Ever. I'm going to have to walk everywhere now. Except the only place within walking distance from my house is the liquor store. So be it.
On a more positive note, I just love this picture of my three little explorers:

...off to find another adventure at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Actually they're chasing a quick-footed puppy. These same little adventurers are going to bed at 6:59 today because their mother CANNOT TAKE ANY MORE FAMILY TOGETHERNESS. Not one minute more. But it really was a fun vacation.

  1. Hey, you made it!!! I'm glad you all survived the road trip! It was great to see you :-) And I just realized, I must be the only person who left there with absolutely no copies of any pictures. I really need to remember my camera next time :-x

  2. Hee hee hee. You are so funny. I am glad to see your trip was great and glad you are back. That picture is adorable, but do tell me...Does Katie ever take those Pink boots off? I am not sure I have ever seen a picture of her without them on.

It's okay though, if I had pink cowboy boots I might be inclined to sleep in them as well.

  3. Joy,
Not only does she constantly wear them, she is actually on her second pair. They're getting a little small now, so I guess I'll have to go back to Target and get some more.

Tommy (although you can't see it) is wearing his second pair of firefighter boots, too.

  4. Glad you made it home! Laura wore the first pair of pink boots for the first time today. She was not impressed. Of course, she was also bundled up in many, many layers to play in the snow. She had a hard time walking. She did enjoy her first sled ride but was ready to get back inside and take the boots off.

  5. and what's wrong with walking to the liquor store? daily? or hourly? or... at least...as soon as the kids go to sleep?

  6. Hey, no fair...it disappeared. And it was great too. I actually thought about it while I was in Walmart today.
