To commemorate the sixth year of his life, it was decided that he would host a gathering of all the young Jedi, to complete their training... and eat some cake.
The boys were put through a rigorous obstacle course in order to complete their training. They were challenged to complete tasks such as climbing over and under Little Tikes furniture, swinging on a rope swing over a river of lava, and knocking down balloon orbs from the branches of a tree. Once their tasks were complete, they were awarded gold Jedi medals and invited inside for a celebratory meal.
When the meal had been devoured, cake was demanded by all. At this time, the mother of young Tommy was horrified to discover that the cake had been stolen, and that a trail of clues had been left by the evil Darth Vader. The Jedi leapt from the table in pursuit of the Dark Lord, following his clues even to the far reaches of the galaxy, and his wicked plot was foiled.
The Jedi were victorious over the Dark Side of the Force once again. However, no one suspected that the candles had been influenced by the Dark Side until there was one significant Jedi casualty...
( Nooooooooooooo!)
The group took their revenge on an apparition of Darth Vader that appeared in the form of a pinata, and they took turns beating it savagely with a stick. Then they scooped its innards off of the filthy ground.Afterwards, Tommy was ceremonially presented with various Star Wars-related gifts by his friends and parents. And the Force was with them.
Looks like a very fun party!
ReplyDelete"Love, Darth Vader" HAHAHAHA (Also, to point out my Star Wars nerdiness, the figure looked like Qui Gon Jinn, not Obi-Wan. But, whatever.) I still like the Han Solo cups.
ReplyDeleteYou are so creative!
Wendy,
ReplyDeleteYou're probably right about the cake guy. The lady at the bakery wasn't too helpful in identifying him.
You're the best mom ever!!! Will you come and plan my kids parties - I have 3 coming up pretty soon!!
ReplyDeleteMiss you!! :-)
this was a great post, and your party sounds great, but since when does darth vader sign things "love, Darth Vader", and since when does a light saber curl at the end. i guess that makes it less dangerous. ;)
ReplyDeletea very clever party all around. You are my kind of party girl. I'm trying to figure out what to do for MQ's upcoming 6th B-day.
I agree with Wendy on the identity of the body. I'm not sure which I found more amusing, the drink table or the "Love, Darth Vader" note. I love it! You throw such fun parties!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great party! Lucky kid.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Tommy!
Happy Birthday Tommy! Great pictures, great party! Can I borrow some of your ideas? I still have a while to plan, but Joey is interested in the Star Wars theme. You had such cool ideas. By the time March comes around we may be on a totally different theme. I may be asking you for help anyway.
ReplyDeleteKandy,
ReplyDeleteNone of these ideas are mine, they are all stolen off the internet, so go right ahead.
Very excellent party. And "Love, Darth Vader"? HAHAHAH! Very good.
ReplyDeleteLove the party theme! I have a Jedi in training too!

You did an awesome job with that party! And now I feel very lame and uncreative!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant. Absolutely brilliant. The force was definitely with you.
ReplyDeleteThe drink table made me laugh out loud!
I'm going to bookmark this...maybe the Little Mister will get a Star Wars party one day. (do you mind being copied? imitation is the highest form of flattery and all..)
