It is a little known fact that I have control of the weather. Yes, I do. It never fails, as soon as I put the summer clothes away, the weather turns warm again. As soon as I drag all of those clothes back out, the cold weather returns. In the last week, I have done three major things to affect today's weather: I put away the winter coats, I unpacked Katie's bag of hand-me-down spring clothes, and I purchased flowers to put in my front yard.
So I would just like to take full responsibility for the 3 inches of snow that we received last night. North Texas, I apologize. I'll try to do better next time. I admit my spring-anticipating actions were premature, and I will try not to do it again. I would also like to confess that I briefly considered "letting my feet out" and wearing sandals the other day when it was 75 degrees. It's a good thing I didn't, or we could have a full-scale blizzard on our hands.

yeah--we gotta be careful of the weather jinxing around here too! LOL
ReplyDeleteand i haven't blogged in so long that i completely missed the cookies contest. oh woe is me!!!!!!
Running on empty
There's nothing worse than having "done let your feet out" and then having to put them back in. I think I have found a way to almost beat the system - ballerina flats. Not a sandal, but still summer-y. Hopefully the weather won't catch on to my trick.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I am delighted that I am not alone in the weather controlling department. It was starting to be more pressure than I could take. Secondly, I am jealous. Where is the snow? We've had no more than wet mush for 3 years. My poor 5 year old doesn't remember real snow and it is but a faint memory for the 8 year old. I was told when I moved here that it snowed. Someone lied to me.
ReplyDeleteWe used to live in Oklahoma, so I feel your agony! But now, with the ol' predictable rain, rain, rain here in the NW...I suppose I should say I miss those crazy spring/winter/what the hay seasons there in the midwest. Throw one last snowball and then paint your toenails and see what happens next!
ReplyDeleteWe're about to get hit with about three tons of snow, probably because I thought hopefully about maybe wearing a t-shirt someday soon.
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed the sun this weekend! To bad it is over! And the next time you decide to put up and change clothing could you let me know, so I know what to expect, you have also predicted weather in NW Indiana!! Share your predictions!
ReplyDeleteOh yes. You saw my latest post: I blogged about the entrance of spring...and then we got a blizzard and I crashed my car.
ReplyDelete*sigh*
