Updates and then some

A few things I wanted to update you on:

1. The offer on the house fell through. It seems that the people really wanted the house but with one snag; they didn't actually have any money. Just a minor detail. They came back to see it on Monday, though, so I don't know what that means.

2. Mystery cantaloupe is quite delicious. We're saving the seeds until next year, and perhaps we will spread them in other people's front flower beds like Johnny Cantaloupeseed.

3. Greg's job situation is still officially in the Unknown category for the long term. For now, he is working on several contract jobs that have come together quite nicely and just in time. We are still trying to sell the house and still anticipating a move as soon as the house sells. This is where it gets complicated.

4. School starts in a week and a half and my baby will be in kindergarten.

5. School starts in a week and a half and my baby will be in kindergarten and that means I will have no children to parent between the hours of 8 and 3.

6. I'll be treating this (probably short) season as "comp time". What activities do you recommend after I catch up on nine years' worth of missed sleep?

  1. Oh my gosh! I would grieve myself to death if all of my kids were gone during the day! LOL! Good for you though. Take naps. Stroll (can't remember the last time I strolled) the mall (OH!You have the Galleria! Go stroll all four glorious floors). Sit at Starbucks and read a book.

Ok, so maybe I wouldn't grieve.

  2. wow. you guys are really moving forward with faith... selling the house without a destination in mind. Good for you.

What to do? watch movies. deal with your photos. read books. "WASTE TIME" (sometimes when I can't prove that I've done anything I feel terrible, but then I remember that I don't have to be productive all the time!) nap.

  3. What to do in three words:
    "Je-rry! Je-rry! Je-rry!"

  4. Ha ha, no Jerry for me. I don't have the constitution for it.

Dealing with photos sounds like an excellent idea.

We do have a plan for where we will move, by the way, I didn't mean for it to sound like that, it's just very complicated and I will write about it as soon as things are certain.

  5. I suggest midday movies by yourself. I love doing that now. Man, how I missed the movies!

Good luck with the house, job, and moving! What a lot on your plate!
